Elementary Reading Interventionist - Lighthouse Connections Academy

Job Summary
Coordinate push-in and pull-out support under the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to facilitate student learning and implement intensive, research-based interventions for Tier 3 students. Utilize performance, survey, and observation data to identify children needing support, assist teachers in developing classroom-based interventions, and document progress. Facilitate Student Support Team (SST) processes with principals, parents, and instructional staff while developing behavioral support tools and functional behavior assessments. Schedule and conduct RTI meetings virtually, plan professional development, and gather universal assessment tools for progress monitoring. Collaborate with special education directors to facilitate eligibility, manage IDEA and Section 504 activities, and produce required federal, state, and district reports. Administer standardized testing data to adjust instructional strategies and maintain accurate records for compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certification in the required subject matter and grade band
- A minimum of 5 years fulltime successful teaching experience in the required subject matter and grade band
- Travel and attendance at in-person events, including State Testing is required throughout the school year, as determined by the school. This may require overnight travel
- Ability to work some occasional evening hours, as needed to support families
