Job Summary
Supervise elementary students during recess to ensure safety, wellbeing, and adherence to playground policies while enforcing game rules and monitoring for hazards. Maintain and store playground equipment, reporting damage promptly, and collaborate with staff, parents, and students to foster a respectful, inclusive environment. Build positive relationships with children through restorative conversations and conflict resolution, modeling Christian character and patience. Prepare for and complete required CPR/FIRST AID training, and work flexible shifts in Shoreline, WA, as a part-time role.
Required Qualifications
- Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior
- Is a committed Christian who is dedicated to continued spiritual growth and development as evidenced through a growing personal walk with God
- Prayerfully seeks God's will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA
- Engages our ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals and other spiritual practices
- Affirms, aligns with and supports CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC)
- Conducts themselves in a manner which reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC)
- Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader
- High School diploma or equivalent
- CPR/FIRST AID/AED Training or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary's List of Crimes and Negative Actions
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Able to adapt to weather extremes and dress appropriately for those conditions
- Able to multi-task and quickly shift priorities in emergency situations
- Able to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, students and parents
