Job Summary
Support instruction and student learning by implementing lesson plans, providing accommodations/modifications, collecting data, and working with individuals or small groups under teacher direction. Reinforce routines, behavior expectations, and social-emotional skills to promote student independence and uphold classroom and school-wide systems. Supervise students to ensure safety during all parts of the school day, including transitions, lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal. Collaborate and communicate professionally with lead teachers, school staff, and families to support student success and school goals. Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and equity-minded practices that honor student dignity and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment. Build positive, respectful relationships with students. Implement IEP accommodations, modifications, and behavior plans or supports. Collect data or observations and complete required documentation (academic, behavioral, or functional) as directed (even if not formally tied to an IEP).
