Job Summary
The Elementary Paraprofessional provides targeted instructional support to students needing additional academic assistance, delivering literacy and/or math interventions in small groups or one-on-one under the direction of certified teachers. Responsibilities include collecting and organizing student progress data, assisting with Title I initiatives, supporting a safe and inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with classroom teachers and building administrators to adjust interventions. Additional duties may include assisting with morning drop-off, lunchroom monitoring, and recess supervision as part of school-wide systems to promote student success. The role requires implementing evidence-based instructional strategies under supervision and maintaining records of student progress to inform instructional decisions. Qualifications emphasize a high school diploma or equivalent and meeting federal paraprofessional qualification requirements (ETS ParaPro or equivalent), with preferred experience in educational settings and data organization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must meet Highly Qualified paraprofessional requirements as defined by federal guidelines (ETS ParaPro Assessment, associate degree, or 60+ college credits)
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
