Job Summary
Elementary Paraprofessional assists the instructor in creating a positive learning environment to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students. Responsibilities include monitoring students in various settings, assisting with remedial work, tutoring, small group and individual instruction, escorting/transporting students as needed, and using appropriate behavior management techniques. Must meet qualification requirements (high school diploma or equivalent, valid KS driver’s license, 48 college hours or paraprofessional assessment, health/inoculation certificate) and adhere to district policies while communicating effectively with staff, students, families, and the community.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Kansas driver’s license
- Must have at least 48 college hours or pass a paraprofessional assessment test
- Health and Inoculation Certificate on file in the central office
