Job Summary
Provide engaging instruction in elementary art, assist with preparing and organizing art materials, demonstrations, and supervising students during art projects. Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring learning environment; inventory, care, and maintenance of art supplies and tools; perform record keeping, grading support, and prepare required reports. Assist substitute teachers as needed. Demonstrate the ability to work with children, communicate effectively, and promote creativity within the art classroom.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Para Professional Certification or Associate's degree (or two years of higher learning)
- Valid Texas education aide certificate
- Ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics
- Ability to work well with children
- Effective communication
