Job Summary
Assist in the classroom by supporting student learning and growth while working closely with teachers and staff. Provide instruction based on lesson plans and help individual students comprehend concepts. Maintain confidentiality, work well under pressure, and communicate effectively with students, teachers, staff, and parents. Participate in additional professional development outside regular work hours. Requires valid U.S. citizenship or an active work visa.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with students in a school setting
- Ability to work well under pressure, set priorities, and maintain confidentiality while remaining calm
- Courteous and professional when interacting with students, staff, and the public
- Ability to provide instruction based on lesson plans and assist individual students in comprehending concepts
- Effective communication skills with students, teachers, staff, and sometimes parents
- Willingness to participate in additional professional development outside regular work hours
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid U.S. citizenship, permanent residency, or an active work visa
