Job Summary
Design and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned music curriculum with authentic performance opportunities, establishing clear success criteria using rubrics and assessments. Facilitate collaborative music-making through rehearsals and peer feedback while differentiating instruction to ensure equitable access for all scholars. Create joyful, high-expectations classrooms where students build technical skills and take creative risks, centering diverse musical traditions and genres. Assess learning through standards-based grading and celebrate growth via concerts and showcases. Collaborate with grade-level teams to support alignment and inclusion, then engage in ongoing professional growth through data, feedback, and coaching.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree
- Subject matter expertise in music
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Completion of CDE READ Act training or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) -45 contact hours within the first year of employment
- Pass a background check
