Job Summary
Lead a kindergarten class by establishing clear behavior and learning expectations, delivering grade-level instruction in STREAM subjects, and formatively assessing student progress to modify techniques. Plan daily activities, integrate skills into learning centers, and construct hands-on materials while maintaining accurate records and a safe, orderly environment. Collaborate with administration and staff committees to implement policies, attend professional development, and foster parent involvement. Submit a five-to-ten-minute video demonstrating the learning experience and adhere to the nine-and-one-fourth-month contract schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Arkansas Teacher's license for Elementary Education K-6 or ECE P-4
- Competence in the total teaching act
- Proficiency demonstrated in the Science of Reading
- The ability to apply current educational theory and practice; of cultural, socioeconomic, ethnic, and gender differences; and the principles of child growth and development when working with students, parents, administrators, community members, and support staff
- Willingness to participate in on-going staff development
- The ability to effectively differentiate instruction
- Sensitivity to cultural differences
- Commitment to staff development
- The ability and willingness to construct hands-on education materials to be utilized in the teaching of identified curriculum skills and concepts
- Submission of a 5-10 minute video demonstrating the learning experience in your classroom
