Job Summary
Lead kindergarten students through hands-on STREAM experiences, applying research-based instructional strategies to foster social, emotional, and academic growth. Establish clear behavior and learning expectations while integrating skills into units and learning centers to meet individual student needs. Maintain accurate records, monitor activities to ensure safety, and collaborate with staff to implement school-wide systems emphasizing mastery-based learning. Serve as a model classroom for observation and provide technical assistance to peers, while actively engaging parents and the community to support student success. Submit a 5-10 minute video demonstrating classroom learning experiences as part of the application process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Arkansas Teacher's license for Elementary Education K-6 or ECE P-4
- Competence in the total teaching act
- Proficiency demonstrated in the Science of Reading
- The ability to apply current educational theory and practice; of cultural, socioeconomic, ethnic, and gender differences; and the principles of child growth and development when working with students, parents, administrators, community members, and support staff
- Willingness to participate in on-going staff development
- The ability to effectively differentiate instruction
- Sensitivity to cultural differences
- Commitment to staff development
- The ability and willingness to construct hands-on education materials to be utilized in the teaching of identified curriculum skills and concepts
- Submission of a 5-10 minute video demonstrating the learning experience in your classroom
