Job Summary
Elementary Guidance Counselor provides guidance and counseling to students to support academic, personal/social/emotional, and career success; conducts crisis intervention; maintains and analyzes student records; assists with course/program planning, scheduling, and college/career exploration; collaborates with administrators, teachers, and families; promotes diversity and cultural understanding; plans orientation and enrollment activities; and adheres to district policies and state regulations. The role requires a Bachelor's Degree with licensure in Arkansas, and asks for experience as a school counselor, with Master’s degree preferred. The position is a full-time 200-day contract based in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, with occasional after-hours events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Counseling or related field
- Current Arkansas teaching license
- Preferred Master's Degree in Counseling
- Experience as a school counselor preferred

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting counseling in schools
- Ability to plan and conduct orientations, recruitment, and scheduling activities
