Job Summary
Teach up to three students simultaneously in interactive sessions covering English and math, utilizing pre-planned lessons and proprietary methodologies. Deliver instruction both online and in-person while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor. Complete daily student communication updates and post-lesson notes to track progress. Work evenings Monday through Friday and Saturdays, with a preference for year-round commitment including summer. Applicants must reside near Orangeville, pass vulnerable sector screening, and hold a Bachelor's degree or relevant certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 8 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Vulnerable sector screening
- Commute to the Orangeville location
- Reside in or within a short commute of the Orangeville area
- Work during after-school and evening hours (4:00pm - 8:00pm)
- Work on Saturdays (9:00am - 3:00pm)
- Commitment for the school year
- Continuing through the summer
