Job Summary
Teach up to three students simultaneously in English and Math using pre-planned Oxford Learning methodologies, delivering instruction both online and in-person. Maintain daily student communication updates and post-lesson notes while fostering student confidence through interactive coaching. Work evenings from 3:00pm to 8:00pm Monday through Friday, with a preference for full-year commitment including summer. This role supports Oxford Learning's mission to apply cognitive learning science to help students develop stronger skills since 1984. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory, and applicants must reside near Aurora, ON.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field
- Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum
- Some experience teaching/tutoring at a Kindergarten to Grade 12 (or equivalent) level
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
- Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
- Vulnerable sector screening
- Must be able to commute to this location
- Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Aurora area
- Commitment for the whole school year
