Job Summary
Implement lesson plans and supervise students inside and outside the classroom under the direction of a certified physical education teacher. Set up and take down PE equipment daily, assist with inventory and maintenance, and provide orientation to substitute teachers. Manage student discipline according to district policy and keep the teacher informed of individual student needs. Handle administrative tasks including keyboarding, filing, grading, recording tests and scores, updating grade books, and maintaining bulletin boards. Requires CPR and First Aid training within 30 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of filing system
- Good physical condition
- Ability to actively participate in physical activities
- General office skills
- Computer skills
- Ability to work with children
- Paraprofessional aide certification
- CPR and First Aid training
- Ability to lift 25 pounds to waist high
