Job Summary
Elementary Education Teacher responsible for planning instruction that meets individual student needs, creating a conducive classroom environment, guiding learning toward curriculum goals, employing appropriate instructional methods, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues, students, and parents. Duties include planning and supervising teacher assistants when assigned, maintaining professional competence, attending staff meetings and committees, and adhering to school policies on student life and conduct. Ten-month contract with salary based on state scales; certification in NC required or eligible for certification; maintains confidentiality and communicates effectively with school personnel, students, and parents.
Required Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate in North Carolina or the ability to obtain one
