Job Summary
Plan instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards for K-5 Special Education students, focusing on social-emotional and behavioral needs and implementing IEPs/504 Plans. Develop and adapt lesson plans and instructional materials to meet individual student differences, maintain a positive learning environment, and monitor progress with formative and summative assessments. Collaborate with families and case managers, supervise students, ensure safety, and participate in behavior support and crisis planning as required. Maintain professional relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community, and adhere to federal and Colorado laws, Board and District policies, and school procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Colorado Teaching License with endorsements for the levels and subject areas teaching
- Pass the PLACE or PRAXIS II Test
- Meet CDE and ESSA requirements for In-Field Teacher
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree of related subject from accredited university
