Job Summary
Elementary Dual Language Spanish Zone Teacher (K-5) responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering instruction in both Spanish and English, aligning with district curriculum and core standards. Collaborates with the English Zone teacher to bridge languages, uses varied research-based practices to support language acquisition, monitors progress with assessments, creates an appropriate classroom learning environment, maintains records and communicates with parents, and participates in professional development including math intervention and assessment initiatives. Requires NYS elementary certification, bilingual extension in Spanish, and biliteracy in both languages.
Required Qualifications
- New York State Elementary Certification (Birth -2 OR 1-5)
- Bilingual Extension in Spanish
- Biliterate with excellent communication in both languages orally and in writing
