Elementary Counselor (Bush)

Elementary Counselor in Midland ISD responsible for delivering guidance services across the Guidance and Counseling program. Essential duties include interpreting and sharing student achievement with parents and staff, identifying at-risk behaviors with teachers for intervention, responding to inquiries, conducting regular classroom guidance activities, informing the community about guidance programs, coordinating new student orientation and placement, maintaining ongoing data collection related to student needs, and providing individual and group counseling. The role requires effective communication with parents, teachers, and administrators; collaboration to support student placement and interventions; confidentiality in handling student information; and knowledge of guidance processes, ARD coordination, and community resources for student support.
