Job Summary
Elementary Classroom Teacher (grade 4) in Springfield Public Schools. Responsibilities include meeting and instructing assigned classes, planning curriculum to meet student needs, creating a conducive learning environment, guiding instruction toward district curriculum goals with clear objectives, preparing lessons, employing varied instructional techniques and media, implementing district educational philosophy, assessing student progress and communicating with families, maintaining records, diagnosing learning challenges, protecting students and property, participating in teacher evaluations, attending district meetings and school activities, and contributing to district decisions on budget, facilities, curriculum and staff development. Qualifications: elementary content area competency, elementary license and 1-6 licensure from MA DESE; Bachelor's Degree with license (required) and Master's Degree with license preferred or expected within 5 years. Required Qualifications
