Job Summary
Develop and administer school curriculum consistent with grade goals, creating lesson plans and instructional materials that translate into active learning experiences. Conduct ongoing assessments of student learning to modify methods for individual needs, including special education, while administering standardized tests. Maintain accurate record-keeping for grading, reporting, and attendance, and coordinate with faculty to evaluate curriculum and participate in meetings. Promote a safe classroom environment conducive to small group instruction, manage student conduct per school standards, and oversee non-instructional duties such as lunch and carpool. Encourage parental involvement through effective communication regarding student progress and goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Texas State Teaching Certification
- Receive and pass a criminal background check clearance
- Be trained and verified in Safe Haven child abuse awareness
- Have a current Catechist Certificate or working towards one
- Able to handle both face-to-face teaching and remote online teaching
- Agrees to follow and uphold all COVID protocols set forth by the school's plan
- Lift up to 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- State Certification in the appropriate grade level preferred
- Bachelors from an accredited college or university in Elementary Education or related discipline applicable to teaching assignment
- Master's Degree in related area preferred
- Prior experience will be considered
