Job Summary
Design and implement rigorous unit and engaging lesson plans incorporating the InspireNOLA instructional model while creating a structured, achievement-oriented learning environment. Utilize student data to drive instruction, re-teaching, and classroom interventions, and proactively manage student behavioral issues in adherence to school policies. Exemplify core values in all interactions with students and families to support academic and behavioral success, while collaborating with the school team, families, and community members. Participate enthusiastically in structured learning opportunities, data review meetings, and ongoing professional development sessions offered by the Support Team office.
Required Qualifications
- Belief in the mission and values of InspireNOLA
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- Louisiana Teacher Certification or in progress
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of teaching experience (preferred)
- Proven success in raising the achievement levels of historically under-served students
- Expertise in a content area and strong classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the school team, families, and community members
- Desire to continuously improve instructional practices and willingness to engage in ongoing professional development
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Spanish language proficiency is a plus
