Job Summary
Coordinate elementary attendance, engagement, and after-school programs. Implement outreach strategies to increase daily attendance and reduce chronic absenteeism, including outreach to chronically absent students via phone calls, home visits, and family conferences. Oversee after-school activities, supervise instructors and volunteers, manage enrollment, scheduling, transportation, and space usage, and ensure high-quality program delivery. Act as LEAP home visitor and liaison between school and families, educating parents and staff on effective communication and collaboration. Develop community partnerships, recruit participants, and coordinate grant reporting to meet program requirements. Maintain regular communication with the principal, teachers, and families; participate in professional development and district meetings; and support implementation of school and district initiatives related to attendance and family engagement.
Required Qualifications
- 4 year college degree; or 4 years of equivalent experience in the field of education, social services or related field
- Successful experience supervising diverse groups of students and staff required
