Job Summary
Lead instructional leadership for K-12 elementary schools, guiding equitable outcomes, supervising staff, and coordinating professional development to improve student achievement. Partner with the principal to plan and monitor school improvement goals, analyze data to inform interventions, and foster a collaborative culture with families and community members. Ensure adherence to Iowa Standards for School Leaders (ISSL), manage evaluation of certified and non-certified staff, and support the development of high-quality curricula, assessment practices, and learning environments across McKinley and Monroe Elementary buildings. Maintain accountability for time-on-task, equity-focused teaching practices, and professional growth through data-driven planning and ongoing evaluation.
Required Qualifications
- Iowa Administrator certification with Evaluator Approval or willingness to obtain
- Master's degree in educational leadership
- Prior educational leadership experience (desired)
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Knowledge of research-based, equitable leadership practices, curriculum development, instructional and assessment best practices, student behavior management systems, PLCs, personnel evaluation
