Electrophysiology Tech

Operates monitoring, recording and related equipment during cardiac electrophysiology procedures; prepares and handles data for physicians and staff; assists during procedures and monitors patient ECG for dysrhythmias; operates defibrillator and performs CPR when required; assists in pre/post-procedure activities related to equipment and patient care; positions patients and selects exposure factors for radiographic procedures; identifies cardiovascular anatomy for documentation; troubleshoots equipment; calibrates and maintains equipment; prepares and transfers items for re-sterilization and operates imaging, interventional, and storage systems; scrubs to assist physicians with diagnostic, interventional and surgical procedures; serves as a technical resource, trainer and preceptor; trains staff, ensures competency, and collaborates with other departments on patient management; must demonstrate knowledge of age-specific patient care and growth/development concepts as per departmental standards; role requires collaboration with medical staff and fellows; work environment includes exposure to hazards with PPE usage; position is full-time with benefits and growth opportunities in Advocate Health system.
