Job Summary
Triage clinical questions and issues from patients, answer inquiries, and implement protocol-driven care within scope. Perform cardiac device interrogations, monitor antiarrhythmic patients via remote surveillance, and review laboratory testing and periodic electrocardiograms. Oversee scheduling of EP procedures, diagnostic studies, and follow-up visits while tracking prior authorizations to prevent procedural delays. Coordinate procedural logistics between the EP clinic, Saint Joseph Health, and MIDC, and manage EP-related in-basket communication to route clinical concerns appropriately. Provide education to patients and families regarding procedures and care pathways, and assist with anticoagulation holds for patients requiring procedures with other providers.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of accredited Nursing school
- Valid RN license in the State of Colorado
- Minimum of 2 years Cardiology, ICU/CCU or Specialty Clinic experience
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with procedure scheduling
- Experience with prior authorizations
- Experience with payer communication
- Cardiac Device Specialist certification
