Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiologist

Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive outpatient EP and cardiology consultations, manage arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and SVT, and interpret ECGs, Holters, and device interrogations. Perform EP procedures such as pacemaker and ICD implantation, EP studies, ablations, and cardioversions. Support inpatient cardiology with consults, rounding, and device evaluations while collaborating with interventional cardiologists, surgeons, and heart failure teams. Supervise and collaborate with APPs in clinic and hospital settings, participate in multidisciplinary cardiac care meetings, and maintain accurate clinical documentation within the EHR. Support outreach and program expansion efforts as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiologist
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of Internal Medicine residency, Cardiology fellowship, and Electrophysiology fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology
  • Eligible for or holding an active Alabama medical license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • EP fellowship-trained cardiologists required
