Job Summary
Conduct outpatient electrophysiology clinic services including outreach, manage inpatient consultations, and perform ablation procedures and device implantations. Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging. Support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers. Requires MD/DO with board certification in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and ACGME accredited fellowship completion, plus research and teaching experience. Join a growing team of 18 cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers at Albany Medical College.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology
- Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
- Leadership qualities and assets
- Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care
- Passion for providing high-quality care to patients and advancing the field of cardiology
- Experience with complex ablations, lead extraction and advanced device therapy
- Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare providers
- Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York
