Job Summary
Conduct outpatient electrophysiology clinic services including outreach, perform inpatient EP consultations, and execute ablation procedures and device implantations. Collaborate with faculty across advanced heart failure, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiovascular imaging to support education and development of fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers. Requires MD/DO or related degree with board certification in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology and completion of an ACGME accredited fellowship. Join a growing team of 18 cardiologists and 5 advanced practice providers at Albany Medical College, one of the oldest private medical schools in the country. This academic appointment supports the Capital Region's only academic tertiary care hospital and offers a competitive salary range of $435,000 - $500,000 with sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or related degree with board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
- Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Clinical Electrophysiology
- Clinically oriented with research experience and teaching abilities to be eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor
- Leadership qualities and assets
- Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to patient care
- Passion for providing high-quality care to patients and advancing the field of cardiology
- Ability to teach, mentor, and collaborate with medical students, medical residents, cardiology fellows, and other healthcare providers
- Eligible for academic appointment and medical licensure in the state of New York
