Electronics Testing Technican

Job Summary

Perform troubleshooting and testing to support product development, production, and field service for Marine AC/DC charging systems and lithium-ion battery integration. Conduct design validation tests including environmental, EMC, and HASS/HALT protocols while rigorously documenting processes and developing best practices. Participate in root cause analysis of components and execute PCB rework to support testing and development within multi-function new product development teams. Work closely with program management, manufacturing engineering, and supply chain to validate functional targets and represent Dometic Marine with customers and suppliers.

Required Qualifications

  • University or Technical Institute qualifications in Electrical, Computer, Electro-Mechanical, or related technical discipline
  • Minimum 2+ years of industry or relevant electronic testing and design experience
  • Experienced with PCB rework and testing processes, including precision soldering
  • Working knowledge of communication interfaces such as CAN, SPI, I2C, or RS232
  • Experience with testing EMC related issues during the certification testing of a product
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as SAE, ASTM, ISO, and ISO9001
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office programs including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry or relevant electronic testing and design experience
  • Consumer electronic product test experience, ideally related to automotive, boating and/or safety critical systems
  • Familiar with lithium batteries and battery management
  • Familiar with power inverters and chargers including AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion
  • Familiar with alternators, generators, or motors
