Electronics Test Technician

Job Summary
Conduct electronic product testing for the Engineering department, performing layouts, construction, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying components including LEDs, batteries, and PCBs. Operate RF and EMI/EMC test equipment to measure, analyze, and verify instrument calibration while collecting data for operational and standards compliance. Interpret complex schematics, drawings, and specifications to ensure adherence to ANSI, CE, EMC, EN, and RF/ESD industry standards. Apply soldering expertise for both SMT and through-hole components. This role supports a top-tier client specializing in portable lighting solutions for military, law enforcement, and automotive sectors.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of 5years of professional experience testing electronic parts and components including LEDs, batteries, charging circuitry, microprocessors, PCBs, reflectors, switches, DC converters, etc.
- Experience in utilizing RF, EMI/EMC test equipment and testing procedures to measure and analyze components.
- Expertise in using specialized electronic / RF test equipment, reading and interpreting complex instructions, engineering specifications, drawings, schematic diagrams, PCB lay-outs.
- Ability to test set-up, measurements, instrument verification/calibration, and data collection for operational and EMI/EMC testing.
- Knowledge of lumen and candlepower measurements.
- Experience soldering SMT and through-hole components.
- Understanding and experience supporting ANSI, CE, EMC, EN, and other RF / ESD industry standards.
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree is highly preferred
