Job Summary
Electronics Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement automated test software for servo-drive hardware, interfacing with analog/digital designs and production to validate hardware, software, and system designs. Role involves automating tests for products from 250 W to 300 kW, including network interfaces such as CAN, EtherCat, and RS-485; develop test fixtures and processes to improve quality, reduce cycle time, and lower costs; collaborate with engineering, sales, product management, and manufacturing. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent combination with 4+ years of experience) and 4+ years of relevant programming and test automation experience. On-site in Camarillo, CA; ITAR registered; US citizen or lawful permanent resident; standard hours with possible additional hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years professional experience writing code to automate test routines of electronic assemblies
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience/combined education with minimum 4 years of professional experience
- Experience with Data Acquisition, serial and/or other communication programming
- Familiarity with bench top electronic test equipment
- Object-Oriented programming skills in C++, C#
- Experience with CANopen/TCP/IP (preferred)
- Source code version control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a dynamic environment
- Ability to review schematics to ensure testability
