Job Summary

Join RACOM as a Radio Frequency Technician to support critical communication systems for public safety utilities. Requires associate's degree in Electronics or Telecommunications with hands-on experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently. Full-time role with travel, training, and responsibilities including installation and maintenance of RF systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant hands-on technical experience or associate’s degree in Electronics or Telecommunications
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for systems
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude for working with tools, mounting hardware, and installations
  • Attention to detail in system configurations, testing, and documentation
  • Competence in reading technical schematics and wiring diagrams

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with federal agencies or public safety organizations
  • Industry certifications such as ETA, FCC GROL, or other RF-related credentials
  • Advanced networking knowledge including VoIP and radio-over-IP systems
  • Experience with field service software and reporting tools
  • Safety certifications or formal safety training
