Job Summary
Test and validate the functionality of appliances, computers, TVs, and home theater systems in the shop, then clean, restore, and package items for customer return. Travel to customer locations to inventory, disconnect, label, and transport electronics, map wiring connections, and reconnect devices in homes or businesses. Drive company vehicles including 16 ft box trucks and vans to work sites while communicating professionally with customers during stressful situations. Support newer team members as the company grows. This hands-on role offers variety in day-to-day work with opportunities to develop skills across multiple restoration specialties including art, textiles, and documents.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50+ pounds, including stairs
- 2+ years of technical, repair, handyman, appliance, or electronics experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable taking apart and reassembling electronics and appliances
- Broad technical knowledge across multiple types of electronics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service oriented with a professional appearance
- Ability to work past 6 pm or on weekends as needed
- Ability to travel within Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island
- Ability to drive a 16 ft box truck or large vehicle when needed
