Job Summary
The Electronics Technician, Maintenance II is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, and operating complex electronic equipment, including computer-controlled instrumentation and analog/digital interface equipment. Key responsibilities include utilizing various types of test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes, and interfacing with military and civilian test customers. A solid understanding of military radar systems is vital. Candidates must possess an associates degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience, alongside a current driver’s license and U.S. citizenship to qualify for a Secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in electronics field or certificate of completion from an accredited Technical school, or equivalent military technical training
- Minimum three years’ experience in the listed duties
- Current Driver’s License required
- U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Well-rounded experience with radar systems
- Good working knowledge of troubleshooting, repair, alignment, and operation concepts for complex electronic equipment
- Understanding of computer controlled instrumentation, as well as analog and digital interface equipment
- Operational knowledge of various types of test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters, and frequency counters
- Knowledge of RF components and ground based radar subsystems, including transmitters, receivers, and servo systems
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
- Must comply with all applicable USAF and SA-TECH safety rules, regulations, and policies
