Job Summary
Electronics Technician Maintenance II (BFTN/SATCOM) performs routine and some advanced diagnostic tasks using manuals and test equipment. Works under supervision with potential technical guidance, analyzing circuits, test waveforms, and signal flow using high-frequency instruments and complex computer-controlled gear. Requires experience with shipboard RF systems (BFTN, HF, RF, NMT, DMR, CBSP, GBS), multiple test instruments, and the ability to produce written instructions and schematics for senior personnel. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, be able to travel ~25%, and hold/maintain a Secret DoD security clearance. Location: San Diego, CA. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience with electronic test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Amplifiers)
- 3 years of experience performing overhauls/repairs on shipboard electronics systems (BFTN, HF, RF, HFRG, NMT, CBSP, GBS, DMR, KA Band, TDMA)
- Experience with BFTN, DMR, CBSP, NMT, EHF/SHF, GBS, KA Band, TDMA Processor (TIP)
- Ability to perform duties unsupervised
- Travel: 25%
- Security clearance: Secret US DoD
