Job Summary
Electronics Technician Maintenance I at Phoenix Defense supports the Warfighter Training Readiness Contract for the Digital Range Training System (DRTS). Responsibilities include installation and operation of DRTS devices, inspections, preventative maintenance, repair, and testing of electronic TADSS equipment; managing device spare parts inventories; researching and procuring repair parts from Government Furnished Equipment or supplier systems; applying technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting military specifications and manuals; collaborating with Instructors during training to resolve software/hardware issues; entering work order data in the management system; and potentially traveling to other CONUS installations. The role requires knowledge of circuit boards and electronic hardware/software, troubleshooting, quality control, and the ability to operate under tight deadlines; travel, cross-training with other TADSS devices, and maintaining security clearances as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years experience with electronics testing/troubleshooting preferred
- Basic computer skills 2-4 years experience; MS Office
- Valid driver’s license and On-Post driving privileges
- Must be able to wear PPE
- Must be willing to work any shift or day
- Must be able to travel as required
- U.S. citizen and able to obtain/maintain U.S. security clearance if required
- Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software
- Ability to read and interpret manuals and technical documents
- Strong written and oral communications, attention to detail
- Team-oriented with customer service focus
