Job Summary
Fabricate and integrate C4ISR systems into Navy and MSC ship variants while assisting technical staff with electrical and mechanical circuit testing, operation, maintenance, and repair. Install equipment and products on-site at Naval Bases and privately owned shipyards across the continental United States, providing feedback to production management and QA on design or fabrication defects. Run cables and dress shipboard cableways according to NAVSEA standards, hardwire lighting and terminal boxes, and build MIL-STD connectors including M28840, D38999, and MS3456 series. Requires 5-8 years of shipboard system installation experience, OSHA 10 Maritime certification, and Secret-level clearance. Travel 50-75% annually.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 5-8 years of direct C4I Shipboard System installation experience
- Experience installing/running cables and dressing/banding shipboard cableways IAW NAVSEA standards and practices
- Cable Fabrication experience to include hardwiring lighting, terminal/sym boxes, and building Mil Std connectors
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand shipboard provided installation documentation
- OSHA 10 Maritime - Active Certification (must be able to provide photo copy)
- U.S. Citizenship
- U.S. Government Security Clearance at the Secret Level
- 50-75% annually as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Seeking experience with RF, Heliax, Cat 5/6, & Multi-pin MIL-STD connectors, with regards to Multi-pin connectors we are seeking technicians with experience in building MIL-STD series M28840, D38999, M24308, MS3456, or MS3476 connectors
- Experience installing cables, electronic equipment, and/or C4I systems onboard Navy and/or MSC vessels within a shipyard or US Naval base environment, class ships to include but not limited to: CVN, LPD, LHA, DDG, or T-AO
