Electronics Technician II

Job Summary
Troubleshoot various types of electronic equipment to the component level and perform repairs ranging from component replacement to extensive modification of analyzer equipment. Assist in testing new products, maintain internal tracking databases, and provide engineering and manufacturing personnel with information and feedback. Support the development of test procedures and equipment while offering internal feedback on common quality issues. This role requires an Associate degree in electrical or electronic engineering, five years of experience, and proficiency with DMMs, function generators, and oscilloscopes. Applicants must be able to interpret schematics and handle loads up to 50 pounds. The position is located in Knoxville, TN, with no immigration sponsorship offered.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or a similar field
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient in use of equipment such as: DMM, Function Generator, Oscilloscope
- Must be able to interpret schematics
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude
- Detail Oriented
- Fully computer literate such as: Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, WinZip
- Operate in a Team Environment
- Technical Communication (Written/Oral)
- Good personal presence/relationship skills with customers
- Eagerness/Willingness to learn
- Ability to handle loads weighing up to 50 pounds
- Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing
Desired Qualifications
- Any relevant experience in the following areas: Electronic assembly/repair, Solder Inspect/Repair, Customer Service, Knowledge of engines, and other types of reciprocating machinery
