Job Summary
Perform complex technical functions for development engineering activities, including systems setup, operations, maintenance, modification, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical systems. Assist with assembling subassemblies for prototype and operational models, while building and installing power, data, Ethernet, and fiber optic cabling. Terminate, troubleshoot, certify, and solder cabling as necessary, and install network and communications equipment. Read electrical schematics and service manuals to maintain fleet readiness, and refurbish customer equipment through sanding, grinding, cleaning, and painting. Work independently or as part of a team, adhering to operational procedures and preparing documentation for test procedures. This role requires up to 25% travel across the continental US and a Secret clearance before start. Candidates must possess 3 to 5 years of experience with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Required Qualifications

- Requires basic job knowledge of network/communications systems and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education
- Typically has 3 to 5 years of experience
- Vocational or technical education in addition to related work experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products; Outlook, Word, Excel
- Physical abilities include the use of arms, hands, and fingers to operate tools and various equipment
- Some standing, walking, moving, climbing, bending, crawling, reaching, and handling, pushing, and pulling
- Able to focus on items less than 20 inches away (corrected or uncorrected), see in three dimensions and distinguish all colors
- Experience working with documents and materials in a classified work environment
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance before start of work

Desired Qualifications
- Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) certification
- Installer 1 and 2 (copper and Fiber Optic Cable)
- BICSI Technician CAT6/7 cable terminations, fiber optic fusion splicing, and soldering
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
