Job Summary
Electronics Technician to support the assembly, testing, and integration of electronic, electro-mechanical, and optical systems. Responsibilities include testing, integrating, and assembling prototype and production-level systems per manufacturing orders; following documentation and using Arena PLM/MRP for testing procedures, BOMs, and assembly steps; logging test results for PCBA boards and subassemblies; communicating status and issues with engineers; performing SMT reworks and repairs as needed; maintaining a clean, organized work area; and performing other duties as assigned. Required is a high school diploma or GED, at least 5 years of experience in electronics and optical assembly, ability to read schematics and BOMs, familiarity with IPC/J-STD/E SD standards, dexterity for fine assembly, and proficiency with test equipment and tools. The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality, compliant electronics and optical assemblies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 5 years' experience in electronics and optical assembly
- Ability to read electronic schematics and bills of materials
- Ability to solder through hole and SMT components down to 0201 package size using RoHS solder
- Familiarity with J-STD-001, IPCS-610/620, IPC-7711(rework), ESD-20.20 certifications are a plus
- Strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or on a team
- Experience with PCBA tests and log results according to procedures
- Familiarity with Arena PLM/MRP systems
- Use of test equipment such as DMM and oscilloscope
- Ability to use various power and hand tools
- Ability to maintain clean and organized work area
- Ability to follow制造/assembly documentation and BOMs
