Job Summary

Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support to Operations and Maintenance on PLCs, drives, HMIs, plant floor networks, power distribution, and general industrial controls. Assist Engineering with installation and commissioning of new equipment and control systems while coordinating design changes and modifications. Identify recurring failure modes to Engineering for root-cause follow-up and develop SOPs and calibration procedures for new equipment. Maintain accurate as-built documentation and prints for projects and upgrades. Mentor less-experienced technicians by providing documentation and training that builds skill and knowledge across the facility. Stay current on PLC/controls hardware and software developments relevant to the site's installed base.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong aptitude for Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC controls, drives, and I/O systems
  • Experience with industrial Ethernet communications, PID loop troubleshooting, tension control systems, and electromechanical systems
  • Comfort troubleshooting industrial PC hardware (e.g., HMI platforms)
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A two-year associates degree in electronics from an accredited institution or the equivalent experience in the electrical controls field

Desired Qualifications

  • familiarity with FactoryTalk Historian/Transaction Manager or SQL-based data collection systems
