Job Summary

Supports operations and maintenance of scoring systems, ground radar, threat simulators, data links, target vehicles, and navigational aids. Replaces components, wires circuits, and repairs simple electronic equipment while conducting routine preventive and remedial maintenance using work cards and technical documentation. Assists in equipment installation, operates assigned electronic equipment and range systems per detailed instructions, and performs basic fabrication tasks for mechanical and electronic assemblies. Prepares and maintains accurate maintenance management and operations documentation. Requires high school equivalency, formal electronics training, six months of equipment maintenance experience, and a government security clearance. Ability to climb towers to 60 feet and travel as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the necessary government security clearance
  • High school graduate or high school equivalency
  • Completion of formal training in an accredited commercial or military electronics school
  • At least six months of experience operating and maintaining digital and analog electronic equipment
  • Working knowledge of electronic test equipment used for preventive and remedial maintenance, i.e., oscilloscopes, vector scopes, volt-ohm meters, frequency counters and generators, logic analyzers/emulators and waveform monitors
  • Basic knowledge of fabrication and assembly techniques for mechanical and electrical assemblies
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationship with other team members and those contacted while performing required duties
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Ability to operate computers to input and retrieve data accurately
  • Ability to read, write and understand English
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to climb stairs and communications towers to a height of 60 feet
  • Vision sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close and distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • The ability to distinguish colors
  • Ability to travel as required by the Company
