Job Summary
Repair Technician II independently diagnoses, analyzes, and repairs Trust Automation components and finished products across product lines to meet original functional, performance, and quality requirements. Uses established tools and documented processes to identify failure modes, determine root causes, and define repair or upgrade pathways, evaluating cost, turnaround time, and risk while supporting internal manufacturing non-conformances and customer RMAs. Communicates findings and status to Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Customer Support; contributes to continuous improvement through feedback on failure trends and process gaps.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher in Electronics or related technical field strongly preferred
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience repairing complex mechanical and/or electronic assemblies or systems
- Proven soldering and de-soldering expertise in accordance with J-STD or equivalent standards
- Proficient with advanced electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies
- Strong competency in reading and applying electronic schematics, assembly documentation, and engineering drawings
- Working proficiency with SSH, Telnet, and serial communication interfaces
- Exposure to on-board programming or configuration of PALs, microcontrollers, or similar devices
- Solid working knowledge of industrial communication standards (RS-232/485/422, USB,Ethernet)
- Proficient user of ERP systems
- Demonstrated proactive commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction
- This position may be asked to drive for company purposes during the course of employment. If asked and agreed upon, employees must possess a valid California Driver’s License and clean driving record
