Job Summary
Conduct physical teardown, sorting, and consolidation of used computers, laptops, servers, and electronics for recycling and resale. Manage material inventory through packaging, labeling, and tracking within an inventory management system. Perform quality verification on segregated and ready-to-ship materials while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Track and report work progress against goals. Pass background checks based on R2 standards and complete safety awareness training. Lift and move heavy objects safely, including forklift operation, while adhering to environmental regulations and workplace safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a background check based on R2 standards for handling sensitive data.
- Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
- Must be able to regularly lift, carry and move up to 25 pounds at a time.
- Must be able, on occasion, to lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the entire body. This will include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, carrying, and stooping.
- Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials.
- Must be able to work on components that are vertical, flat, or overhead.
- Must be able to visually inspect equipment.
- Must be able to see details at close range.
- Must be able to wear protective equipment for eyes/ears/feet.
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises and smells associated with the plant.
- On occasion, may work in a variety of weather including extreme heat and cold.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience safely using forklifts, lift trucks, and hand trucks highly preferred.
