Job Summary

Lead and develop Multimatic’s Electronics Hardware Engineering team responsible for delivering electronics for active & adaptive suspension, active aero and powered closures solutions. Oversee all stages of electronics product development and contribute to high-level technology decisions and product roadmaps. Require expertise in electronic hardware design, embedded systems, and previous product design for manufacture, ideally in an automotive context. Key responsibilities include leading the electronics hardware design team, collaborating on project milestones and requirements, and ensuring compliance with hardware design and manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Highly experienced in ECU architecture and detailed hardware design within a regulated industry
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification
  • Highly experienced with analogue and digital circuitry
  • Design of electronics for low and high-power brushed and brushless motors and solenoids
  • Ability to work in a team with other engineering and science disciplines
  • Excellent communication and customer liaison skills
  • Design commissioning and debugging
  • Taking a design from architecture through to production
  • Design for qualification; EMC, environmental
  • Experienced in document creation including specifications, design descriptions, design & test reports
  • Experience in hardware reliability analysis, FMEA
  • Experience in conducting root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

Desired Qualifications

  • Architectural development of electronic control systems in the automotive domain to ASIL-B level or above
  • Experience in Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) working environment, or similar
  • Experience with MCUs, Infineon Aurix or Arm® Cortex®-M microprocessors preferred
  • Experience with ISO 26262 and ISO 21434
  • Good understanding of emerging trends in electronics design for the automotive industry
