Job Summary
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput. Create, maintain, and validate equipment drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and comprehensive manufacturing work instructions. Interpret technical specifications, develop qualification plans, and provide technical support to manufacturing personnel while identifying and resolving design and production issues using root cause analysis. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure successful product launches. Work in both office and manufacturing environments on a 9/80 schedule with occasional travel between locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant engineering experience in electronics manufacturing, product development, or manufacturing engineering
- Strong understanding of analog circuit design principles and electronic systems
- Experience supporting the transition of products from design to manufacturing
- Proficiency with electrical CAD and engineering documentation tools
- Experience with process control software
- Experience creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs), work instructions, and manufacturing documentation
- Strong root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams
- Ability to work in a manufacturing and engineering environment
- Occasional lifting of equipment and components up to company-established limits
- Ability to travel occasionally between company locations and suppliers as required
Desired Qualifications
- LabVIEW experience a plus
- Knowledge of configuration management and engineering change control processes
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing control systems
- Experience in low-volume, high-mix electronic manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
