Job Summary
Design and deliver advanced electronic solutions for Intelligence Community and Department of War customers, specializing in PCB layout, cable harnessing, and electrical system architecture. Interpret schematics and data sheets while troubleshooting hardware, firmware, and cabling issues using standard test equipment. Develop mixed analog/digital systems involving microcontrollers, FPGAs, and sensors, with hands-on assembly experience including soldering. Work across domains such as motion control, robotics, and RF amplification on compressed timelines, adhering to industry regulations and low-volume design for manufacturing standards. Maintain an active US Secret clearance and operate independently in office, industrial, or laboratory environments.
Required Qualifications
- Active US Secret clearance
- Hands-on experience in schematic capture (Altium Designer or equivalent E-CAD tools) and printed circuit board (PCB) layout
- Ability to interpret electrical documentation, including schematics, data sheets, one‐lines, and cable drawings
- Proficiency with standard electrical test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies, electronic loads, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, firmware, and cabling
- Solid understanding of core circuit design concepts including first‐order circuits, DC‐DC converters, component selection, and analog filtering
- 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years in experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years experience with Masters in related field; or 4 years in experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience
- Must possess at a minimum an active US Secret clearance
- Required Travel: 0 - 10%
Desired Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Proven ability to operate independently with minimal guidance
- Experience in hardware programming (Python, VHDL, C/C++, etc.)
- Design experience across mixed analog/digital systems—microcontrollers, FPGAs, converters, sensors, and more
- Hands-on assembly experience, including soldering
- Comfortable working on compressed timelines (QRC)
- Familiarity with electrical industry regulations, standards, and best practices
- Experience with low‐volume design for manufacturing (DFM)
