Job Summary
Conduct on-site surveys to develop "to-scale" designs, generate sketches with exact specifications, and perform pre- and final construction inspections. Prepare AutoCAD construction drawings, site-specific specifications, and independent cost estimates while coordinating design components with multi-disciplinary stakeholders. Manage project plans, schedules, and resources to meet milestones, execute on-site cutovers and testing, and track Joint and Contractor Acceptance Inspections. Perform circuit analysis on new and existing equipment, generate Integrated Risk Management Checklists, and coordinate work permits for lead and asbestos impacts. This Electronics Engineer role supports the FAA's NISC IV program for facility modernization and telecommunication projects in Fort Worth, TX, with a 30% travel requirement. Candidates must hold a Public Trust Clearance and possess 4–8 years of experience in electronics or electrical engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Electronics or Electrical Engineering degree
- 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience
- Master's degree with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience
- equivalent experience to the above
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications
- Proficiency with AutoCAD / MicroStation or similar tools
- Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal form
- Ability to accomplish clear and concise general and technical writing
- Ability to tactfully coordinate with a variety of project stake holders, peers, and management levels
- Ability to maintain an electronic project folder
- Working knowledge of telecommunication technology
- Ability to provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding the closure of construction-related punch-list items
- Ability to work independently in a large Engineering Organization
- Basic knowledge of multiple disciplines regarding their general requirements for typical standard types of projects
- Ability to discuss project related items with stakeholders, contractors, and code related Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC)
- Knowledge of National Fire Protection Assoc (NFPA) standards
- Knowledge of National Airspace System Equipment Tower
- Knowledge of OSHA and general construction and electrical safety standards
- Knowledge of NAS facilities such as ASR, ATCT, VOR, ARSR, RCAG, (NASET), National Airspace System Equipment Building (NASEB)
- Knowledge of Corporate Work Plan (CWP) 4.1.12
