Job Summary

Build and maintain Fox's broadcast infrastructure while conducting lab, performance, and system tests to evolve architecture. Support evaluation of solutions portfolios against third-party offerings and partner with engineering and standards teams to develop long-term technology roadmaps. Provide day-to-day operations support to Media Operations, resolving technical issues and communicating feedback to management. Analyze dashboards to optimize system security, minimize bugs, and use data to improve engineering team performance. Work in a 24/7 environment at the Fox Technology Center, LLC. Requires a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus two years of broadcast engineering experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Two (2) years of broadcast engineering or related engineering experience in broadcast or television facility
  • Experience or knowledge in IP-based technologies, IPv4 addressing, subnetting, routing, and network design principles
  • Experience or knowledge in IP protocols such as TCP, UDP, RTP, DNS and NAT
  • Experience or knowledge in SMPTE 2110 suite of standards and specifications such as AMWA NMOS
  • Experience or knowledge in Compression techniques such as MPEG2/4, HEVC, JPEG 2000, and JPEG XS
  • Experience or knowledge in Asset management systems, file-based workflows, media acquisition, transcoding/encoding, and NAS/SAN technologies
  • Experience or knowledge in On-prem and cloud-based storage and compute infrastructure platforms
  • Experience or knowledge in Cloud-based technologies such as AWS services, EC2, S3, RDS and IAM
