Job Summary
Program, operate, and maintain battery cyclers to ensure safe and efficient testing and discharge of industrial battery packs. Develop and implement testing scripts for various chemistries while supporting automation within disassembly processes. Diagnose equipment faults, collaborate on technical resolutions, and maintain high reliability to minimize downtime. Produce operational reports, deliver accurate documentation, and complete process records to ensure full traceability. Maintain team capability across new technologies and processes. This role supports the transition to a circular economy through pioneering battery recycling solutions.
Required Qualifications
- HND, degree or equivalent qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline
- Experience programming, operating or maintaining automated or robotic systems
- Experience within engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, automotive, battery or recycling environments
- Knowledge of automotive high-voltage electrical systems
- A sound understanding of battery technologies and battery management fundamentals
- Experience assembling and disassembling complex electro-mechanical components
- The ability to set up and operate diagnostic and electrical test equipment
- Strong fault-finding and analytical problem-solving skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
